Sounds pretty nice!

I feel like after the 30 second mark something should change... Although it works in this submission as a loop. I can't really say too much else, because it is so short... What is the Jazz Epic you're working on? Keep it up!

camoshark responds:

Thanks for the review!

This part was actually taken off of the project, being TOO pop for me and the general public's observation.

The Jazz Epic Project is a project I'm currently working on, planning to make a 10 minute song wich will include top notch jazz in the for of an Epic, a song depicting an adventure.

More news when I finish up the idea, it's actually never been done before.

Cheers,
Samuel Hébert

I like what you have here...

Although I can only stand the drum beat for 1 minute... After that it just hurts!

SoulSecure responds:

Hmm, that sucks for you. It's kind of like where you know veggies are good for you, but you don't like them, but since they're good for you you wish you did like them.

Not too bad...

In fact, pretty good - especially starting at 1:41! Nice collab! Keep it up!

hanorotu responds:

Much appreciated.

This is some FUCKED UP SHIT!

TIGER - TIGER - TIGER - TIGER!

Tarteviant responds:

lol and thank you my good man!

You put an hour and 15 into this...

And it shows. That's about enough time, on a good day, to create a good minute of a song. That's probably what you have here (out of the whole 4:30). The beat isn't that bad, but for something that never changes it is EXTREMELY slow, that is the only real problem... It either needs to be faster or have a lot more variation. I feel like if you only kept the best 30 seconds out of every one or two minutes of this song - and got rid of all of the repetition in between them - you might have a decent 1 or 2 minute track with a lot more flow and variance... On the positive side, I like the choir sound you have at 1:58 :P Keep working on it! A 5 is better than a 1 or 2!

xXGuessWhatXx responds:

Lol. I agree. I'm just really lazy. :/ Haha. I'll get around to it though. I'll shorten the time that each track plays, and actually add in transitions. I was in major chill mode, and didn't feel like doing it yet. Thanks for the review, homie.

I think this has a nice tune!

Just some criticisms. Listening to this song and your last submission right after eachother, it has the same 4/4 bass drum beat. I know this is dance music, but come on! :P And what happens at 1:17? It sounds cool, but it comes off a little random - darkwave stuff jumping out in the middle of a happy dance song! All in all, sounds pretty damn happy and good! Just a little random in the middle with complete robot 4/4 drum loop throughout... Keep making good melodies like this, though! Maybe make some heavier electronic music on the side (you definitely have the skill).

noobieboobie responds:

yeah i hear you lol i don't have my computer setup the way i had it before cause i have my original comp with all my good vsts in a storage unit in a different state and i'm using a demo program on my sisters shitty laptop so whatever i start i can't save and have to finish before something happens and its gone forever. but soon i shall have it all back and the music will get better i promise lol thanks for your review :D

Very funky and strange...

Not too much variation from the beginning, but still pretty enjoyable!

fierymadness responds:

Thanks for listening! This whole project was mostly to get myself familiar with new software(s). With each loop being only a minute long there really isn't much room for variation unfortunately.

Its sweet how it starts off with the drums!

I like how dark, yet dancey this track is. This must be in one sweet game! Keep it up!

fierymadness responds:

THANKS!!

Interesting piece of music!

I like how much variance you have in your songs, that is something I strive for as well, little to no repetition at all. But 30 seconds in, it is already tedious... That is just an overwhelmingly boring transition. 0:57 was a nice change. But just when I was getting tired of this song, 1:51 came along and was absolutely amazing! Then 2:27 was even better! The jazz soloing at 3:03 was brilliant! 3:40 to 5 minutes (worst part was 4:03; best part was 4:33 - sounds like "The Lost Sounds") was a little bit boring again, though... I really like a lot of the parts in this song. You are a talented musician! I think you just need to work on transitions and knowing when to cut out pieces of a song. All in all it some parts were very, very good... But in my opinion, this song would flow better if you cut out or replaced 0:30 to 0:57, spiced up 2:15 to 2:27, rearranged 3:40 to 5 minutes. The song still works without these fixes, I just think it could be a little bit better! Keep up the good work! I can see you writing some very powerful music!

stormalot responds:

Thank you veryyy much for so much feedback good sir! Im really glad you liked the variance in my music because that's mostly what Im going for: not really fitting into one genre. This was a song I wrote a couple of months ago so I can easily look back now and see what all I should have changed and you're completely right, it gets very repetitious at many places and I really should have structured it better, both of which are things I will certainly keep in mind when writing future pieces. Again thank you for the feedback my friend, Im so glad you enjoyed it as much as you did!

It almost puts you in a trance the way it buildsup

I ran out of space up there ^^^
I like the first 50 seconds the best! I like how all of the instrument voices sound, my only criticism of the first 50 seconds is that some of notes might not sound exactly right. At 0:54 I'm not sure what happens! It sounds really cool, but then it ends. I think you should expand upon that and add a beat behind it and keep looping it and lead into something new. At 1:10 it sounds kind of like James Bond - not really my favorite part. It just doesn't sound very good in my opinion. It has a lot of layers that don't mesh well overlapping each other. 1:51 sounds good, but again it just sounds cool then ends. All in all, there is some good material here. I would definitely expand upon 0:54 and 1:51, and potentially either get rid of or completely rearrange 1:10 to 1:51 so it doesn't sound so chaotic (in a bad way)... For a first try (I assume) at making music, this has a lot of potential. I like your style! Keep practicing and getting better!

megamagition responds:

Thanks for the review!

The 0:54 part was supposed to be sort of a transition between the two parts, I'll definitely try on expanding that. I agree that the second part is a bit of a mess.

Thanks again.
