This song makes me want to drive!
The main issue is mastering! It feels like my headphones are exploding! Also, the solo around 1:25 might have a couple sour notes. Other than that, sounds pretty good! Keep it up!

All the notes are in key, though the mastering may be screwing with that, I went and made everything a little quieter, hopefully it sounds better now. Thanks for the review.
I think your chords sound good!
The drumbeat just kills it for me, though. It just sounds like a thoughtless, pounding drum rhythm over a beautiful, ambient sound-scape. You might want to rethink the drum part... Other than that, sounds great!
yeah i thought so. i think i will redo it and put it back up.
This is great stuff!
Such a nice mix of styles! Although it is a little long, I find myself coming back again and again. I like the dense layers of sounds your tracks have. Keep it up!
Thanks. This song in particular had about 50 tracks. I never got to finish it because it got too big for my computer, and the file start crashing my DWA when I tried to open it. Real orchestras take up a LOT of CPU
I think some violins would fit nicely in this song
I like this, its very quiet and understated, even though you've adjusted the rendering! Haha. The drums sound SO good! Are those real, soundfonts, VSTi's, or did you use your keyboard? I'm just curious because I've never been able to find drums so nice! Great work! Very relaxing.
I use Addictive Drums for all my compositions. I record them from my keyboard through midi, loop them and quantanize them for 1/4 a step and so on. However for the sound itself I often edit these drums with various filters and/or slight panning for selected attributes such as the hihat.
I highly recommend them to anyone that is interested in nice drums for their songs :)
I like the atmoshpere you create here also...
But in the context of the song standing alone, it picks up extremely slow for my taste. It would probably work excellent in a game or movie, though. I really like the little build-ups and changes you have here! Good work!
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Are you two using the same software?
Everything sounds out of time. Even when you just have the beat playing it sounds a little bit choppy. Experimenting is good though, so keep practicing and I hope your sound improves! I really think you guys just need to use better or more compatible software. I think the beat would be decent if the drums and piano fit together on the same time scale. Good luck!
Really? ... I kinda put the beat to what I had with the piano. Message me with something. I could show you the exact patterns I used. I made everything in time.......no doubt about that. I made sure I sliced where I needed to. Explain how it's out of time?
This song has a good start!
But I can only handle 15 seconds of this... The drum beat never changes, the rhythm never changes, etc... It's a good start though! Very cool! You might want to think about expanding it.
Thanks for the input. :D I'll work with it a bit.
Damn!
At first I wasn't too sure, but the drums REALLY got me into this song! Awesome job programming them! The keyboard composition and voice sounds very nice. I like that its hard to tell what is programmed and what is real! Haha. The guitar sounds good from 1:50 onwards, but before that point it is very muffled... You might like that tone, so it really comes down to preference, but you may want to rerecord it or pan the sound around (during the build-up). Cheers to finishing this song and your future projects! You definitely have talent!
Haha... wow. You're too kind :)
Anyways... about the guitar, it is fake. I'm currently working on introducing my friend to this field of music (he plays guitar) and I have all the equipment to record guitars and he's a good player that understands the time signatures that I want to work with.
It's good to know that people are giving my guitar sounds a second thought. I should improve there.
I gave this a 3/5...
Mainly because you're using GM sounds... Yikes! The song sounds pretty interesting, but I think you should download a program like Synthfont (if it is still free), where you can assign Soundfonts to each of your midi instruments! Good luck!
I just figured out that synthfont only works on windows, and I got Mac OS X
but I think, I hope, im not sure, that this will once be performed, so I could record it.
Till then, you have to listen to GM sounds. Sorry.
I make electronic music. I also play drums and bass.
