This song is amazing!

I hope most of the 45 tracks sound this good! Keep it up!

Maxo responds:

thanks so much!

Sweet vocoder in the beginning!

It sounds pretty eerie... I just had to voice that once again, it just starts off TOO DAMN SLOW! After 0:55 it is blissful though. Starting at 2:24 could use a little more bongos/tribal drums. Good stuff! 3:03 - YEAH! Nice!

RawGreen responds:

Thanks~ I might come back to this one and work on it now.

I really like the choir and saxophone sections!

This is mixed a little harshly. I feel like the middle tones are punching my ear drums out, while the high and low ends are a little quiet. The keyboard parts seem is a little messy (maybe it should start out like the harpish thing at 0:37) and some drum parts seem out of place to me (like the first drum part you hear - I don't think that is a very good intro drum part). This definitely has its good parts, though! I would plan on reworking the drums and changing some of the piano voices if you were going to use this for anything serious... I think you have shown much improvement in your newest song! I enjoy this style - Keep writing music and getting better!

SkyRiderX responds:

I will definitely change the drum kit I used, listening to this again makes me realize that the drums don't quite fit the song's attitude. The piano has seen many reworks but I'm sure many more on on their way xD Thanks for the review and I hope you continue to enjoy my songs!

Rock ballad hero?

Don't worry, the track sounds great! Something about the keyboard voice and chords just gave me a slight 80's feel :P The drum beat is cool, but sounds weird on the kit that you have picked out. Maybe a more electronic set would fit better. The song is a little short for me (I wish it built up into something bigger before it ended), but composed very well! Keep it up!

SkyRiderX responds:

Thanks for the review! The drum kit itself is actually a mix of kits I made so that might explain why the drums might sound odd. Maybe i'll come back and extend it a bit someday but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

What is the sample saying?

Sounds pretty amazing to me, and I am far from a regular fan of hardstyle. I have to say, I like the first half of the track better than the end half... The second half is a little... Soft? :P Keep it up! Look forward to hearing the song finished!

Zinitymusic responds:

yea, its okay. well, the kick at the " second part " really sucks!
well, i will soon begin to make my own kicks just to get the " ULTIMATE KICK!" ;)

- btw. the start sample says - This is a place of Shreeks. Noisecontrollers made a track called Shreeks.. check it out! :-)

Good friends...

I thoroughly enjoyed until 2:25! In my opinion, the drop at 3:07 should come in VERY shortly after 2:25, then you should add in more of the chimey drums (or ambient sounds) to make a build-up from 2:12 to 2:25. That would be nice. All I know is that right now 2:25 to 3:07 is too drawn out, repetitive, and uninteresting - those 40 seconds of listening to "good friends" repeated is the difference between a 9 and a 10 :P Other than that, your style here is great! No complaints, I love it! Keep it up!

RawGreen responds:

Thank you for your great insight.
I was noticing something seemed rather flat in the composition of this song but wasn't able to point it out until you mentioned it.
Once again, thank you.

I'll make these changes tomorrow morning. As for of right now, it's late and I need allot of sleep for the day ahead of me.

It takes a while to start...

But once it does, it gets pretty good! I think the intro/outro might be better suited with some reverb or other effect to make the piano seem more real. Once the drums come in, it is great. I really enjoyed this style, and I would like to hear more like it! Keep it up!

You have a lot of good, catchy stuff here.

Starts off insanely good. I think my jaw dropped at first, actually :P Some parts are a bit random and don't build-up/transition very smoothly (like 1:21 to 1:22, 1:47 to 1:49, or 3:03 to 3:09, for example). I also think it seems more repetitive than it actually is just because the instrument voices never change. I like the style, but I think the song could use a little bit of work on transitions and making different parts of the song stand out more. Parts like 2:35 and 3:35 are amazing! I'm not so sure about 3:03 on the other hand. All in all, great stuff - Reminds me almost exactly of my friends music! I like the upbeat melodies! Keep it up!

mattjohnson817 responds:

yeah dude every single part you mentioned i felt the same way about doesnt transitions very well in those few parts but ive tried a bunch of different things and those are the ones that i could get to work best. im sure when i go to record it with real guitar/drums ill find something better.

It was cool up until about 0:56...

There's just not that much here for me to enjoy. Nothing new gets introduced into the mix, nothing changes, etc. It just sounds like a really big loop with not that much effort put into it after the first minute. I think it would sound better if you wrote some different parts and switched things up.

The drums sound awesome!

The music and drums both start to get repetitive around 1:00... It just sounds like a really bad loop. At 0:43 you might want to add in some type of faint/slow sound to lead into the keyboard/thumb piano type sound. At 1:56 it gets good again. Overall, very creative and cool! Some parts could use a little more work... Keep it up! I'd love to hear more songs like this!

I make electronic music. I also play drums and bass.
