This song has a good start!

But I can only handle 15 seconds of this... The drum beat never changes, the rhythm never changes, etc... It's a good start though! Very cool! You might want to think about expanding it.

Toastertron responds:

Thanks for the input. :D I'll work with it a bit.

I like the uptempo style of your compositions!

This song has a good length. It was a unique choice to base the music around flutes and pianos. The drums sound pretty good. I can't imagine this song with vocals or guitars... Great stuff, I look forward to hearing some more of your music!

Damn!

At first I wasn't too sure, but the drums REALLY got me into this song! Awesome job programming them! The keyboard composition and voice sounds very nice. I like that its hard to tell what is programmed and what is real! Haha. The guitar sounds good from 1:50 onwards, but before that point it is very muffled... You might like that tone, so it really comes down to preference, but you may want to rerecord it or pan the sound around (during the build-up). Cheers to finishing this song and your future projects! You definitely have talent!

Fanopeion responds:

Haha... wow. You're too kind :)
Anyways... about the guitar, it is fake. I'm currently working on introducing my friend to this field of music (he plays guitar) and I have all the equipment to record guitars and he's a good player that understands the time signatures that I want to work with.
It's good to know that people are giving my guitar sounds a second thought. I should improve there.

I like it!

At first I wasn't sure about the intro, but upon a second listen I like it pretty well, especially once the drums come in. I also like how it breaks off into something completely different around 1:29 & 1:50... My only issue is that it is too short! Make it longer and keep making electronic music!

If I made a game...

I would definitely use all of your songs! This rocks!

I gave this a 3/5...

Mainly because you're using GM sounds... Yikes! The song sounds pretty interesting, but I think you should download a program like Synthfont (if it is still free), where you can assign Soundfonts to each of your midi instruments! Good luck!

MrRotKip responds:

I just figured out that synthfont only works on windows, and I got Mac OS X
but I think, I hope, im not sure, that this will once be performed, so I could record it.
Till then, you have to listen to GM sounds. Sorry.

Sounds similar to my first attempts at music...

Which I made with bad software and never released (for a reason), but it was fun! Cheers to your future music creations! I anticipate listening to them!

Mushraven responds:

Thanks for the review, yeah I was definitely using some primitive tools lol

I really like this style of music!

You should keep practicing and getting better, but this still sounds great! The seven is for the whole song overall, because some parts are a little worse than others... Like for instance, 2:56 to 4 minutes is a little bland with only the bass (the bassline is catchy, though). 4 minutes to 4:40 is cool! 4:40 to 5 minutes is a little rough and bland again, in my opinion. After this point the melody just gets a little old, even though I like it... You might want to try out some fillers with different melodies/instruments thrown in. Cheers to your future experiments in songwriting!

Great tune!

It's pretty uplifting and creative! Up until 1:46 is completely beautiful! My only complaint is that from that point until the end probably would sound better without all of the swirly, fadey, chopey stuff. You might want to write another piano part and extend the song in a new direction (I like the higher keyboard part you introduce at 1:52, before chopping and pitch shifting it, you could possibly extend upon that)... I love the distorted bass tone, and all of the (flawless) leads/solos! Very moving!

Nighthawken responds:

Hey, thanks! That was very helpful and kind of you! Hope you're having an awesome day! :)

I make electronic music. I also play drums and bass.
